Privacy Policy

ShadeMetric ("we", "us") provides a photo-based dental shade-correction tool. This policy explains what information we collect when you use ShadeMetric, how we use it, and who we share it with.

Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address from Google via our authentication provider (Supabase). We use this only to identify your account and let you sign in — we do not use it for marketing or share it with anyone outside the service providers listed below.

Anonymous usage data. Each time you use the shade-correction tool, we log a session record that includes: device type and model, camera metadata read from the photo (ISO, exposure time, white balance, flash), computed brightness and color-correction values, the shade you selected, how many times you retried, which step you completed, any manual adjustments you made, and your country (derived from your network connection, not your exact location). This record is identified only by a randomly generated session ID — it is not linked to your account, email, or name.

We do not store your photos. Photos are processed to compute the correction and are never uploaded to or retained on our servers. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers.

Account information is used solely to authenticate you and let you use the tool. Anonymous usage data helps us understand whether the correction works well across different devices, cameras, and lighting conditions, and where in the process people run into trouble, so we can improve the tool.

We rely on the following providers to run ShadeMetric. Each may process data as described above on our behalf, under their own privacy and security practices:

• Supabase — database and authentication (stores your account email and the anonymous usage records)
• Cloudflare — hosting and content delivery (processes web requests, including IP address, as part of standard operation)
• Google — sign-in provider (authenticates your identity when you choose to sign in with Google)

We keep account information for as long as your account exists. Anonymous usage records are kept to analyze product performance over time; because they are not linked to an identifiable person, they are not tied to your account's retention.

You can delete your account information by contacting us at the email below. Because usage records are anonymous and contain no identifying information, we have no way to locate or delete a specific record on request.

We use a small number of essential cookies to keep you signed in. We do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.

ShadeMetric is a professional tool for dental technicians and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

We may update this policy as the product changes. We'll update the effective date above when we do.
